Bergamot Essential Oil This citrus aroma is fruity and sweet with a warm spicy floral quality, and is reminiscent of Neroli and Lavender oil. Bergamot can be used to treat skin ailments such as psoriasis and eczema, and is considered to relieve stress and anxiety.
Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil Has a warm, spicy scent that is somewhere between clove and cinnamon, and is slightly herbaceous with pepper notes. It is highly respected as having antiseptic and antimicrobial properties. From a spiritual perspective, it is believed to have a warming and uplifting characteristic.
Citronella Essential Oil Has a well rounded lemon citrus scent, though it is much softer than actual Lemon, it has subtle wood tones. It is credited with having therapeutic properties as an antiseptic, deodorant, tonic and stimulant. Often used in combination with Cedarwood to produce a pleasant smelling natural insect repellent. It also helps with minor infection and has common applications in massage.
Cedarwood Essential Oil Has a woody, sweet, sharper note slight aroma and is reminiscent of balsamic. It is considered to be comforting, reviving and an aphrodisiac. It has warming, uplifting, and toning properties. Can be used to assist with acne, arthritis, bronchitis, coughing, dermatitis, stress.
Eucalyptus Essential Oil Most commonly used in baths, spas and saunas because of its refreshing, antiseptic and anti-bacterial attributes. Its benefits can be accessed through the vapor, as well as, topical application. Eucalyptus relieves flu and cold symptoms, decreases mucus production and improves respiratory health. Use in aromatherapy is popular in blends including the essential oils of rosemary, lavender, cedarwood and/or frankincense.
Frankincense Essential Oil Has a rich woody, earthy scent with a deeply mysterious nuance. Its grounding aroma is often used in meditation and spiritual awareness. Considered a Holy Oil, in ancient times it was valued above gold because of its use to treat every illness with much success by reducing inflammation and improving immune function. It detoxes body, fights infections, heals scaring and helps to rejuvenate the aging skin.
Ginger Root Essential Oil One of the most anti-inflammatory oils in the world. It is analgesic in nature and often topically massaged to reduce the pain caused by muscle aches. Ginger root benefits joint health, relieves depression, mental stress, exhaustion, anxiety and slows aging. It has also been shown to help strengthen immunity and can help respiratory disorders, nausea and impotency.
Grapefruit Essential Oil Has a fresh, sweet citrus smell that is very characteristic of the fruit. It is believed by aromatherapists to be a spiritual up-lifter, and to ease muscle fatigue and stiffness. It is also a purifier of congested, oily and acne prone skin and is sometimes added to creams and lotions as a natural toner and cellulite treatment. It is reputed to ease nervous exhaustion and relieve depression.
Honeysuckle Essential Oil The scent of honeysuckle oil is said to be able to bring about feelings of love, beauty and remove fears and sadness. One of the few oils used specifically in aromatherapy, the emotional benefits include assisting with resolving issues related to mental regrets.
Jasmine Essential Oil Has a smooth, extremely intense floral smell that is both sweet and lingering. Well respected for its aphrodisiac properties, it is a sensual, soothing, calming oil that promotes love and peace.
Lavender Essential Oil Well known for its soothing, calming properties, lavender relaxes the body and reduces anxiety, heals wounds, burns and skin disorders, relieves insomnia, relieves stress and tension headaches, reduces high blood pressure, and supports hormone balance.
Lemon Essential Oil Just breathing in the scent of lemon essential oils improves neurological activity that promotes the breakdown of body fat. It improves fatigue, supports immunity, kills bad bacteria, improves mood, and reduces anxiety. Best known for its ability to cleanse the body and lymphatic system.
Lime Essential Oil Has a crisp and refreshing citrus scent that has been used by aromatherapists for its uplifting and revitalizing properties. It can also act as an astringent on the skin where it is reputed to help clear oily skin.
Lemongrass Essential Oil Smells just like lemons, but is milder and sweeter. Known as an anti-depressant and boosts self esteem, confidence, hope, mental strength, and uplifts spirits. The antiseptic properties of this oil are effective in inhibiting bacterial infections in cuts, wounds, skin decease and body odor. It serves as an efficient deodorant without any side effects. Also a sedative, it acts as a tonic for the nerves and nervous system in general.
Myrrh Essential Oil Classified as bitter and spicy in traditional Chinese medicine, it is thought to enhance spirituality and is used as an aid in meditation. It is a powerful antioxidant and supports healthy skin and healing. Its actions are antimicrobial, anti-fungal, astringent, antiseptic, immune stimulant, circulatory stimulant, anti-inflammatory, and antispasmodic. It is purifying, restorative, revitalizing and uplifting. Considered a Holy Oil in ancient times it was highly regarded next to gold.
Patchouli Essential Oil The heavy and strong scent has been used for centuries in perfumes by individuals who create their own scents. Recognized as being effective for an anti-depressent, aphrodisiac, astringent, and stimulant, it also combats nervous disorders, dandruff, sores, and helps heal skin irritations. Patchouli improves with age.
Peppermint Essential Oil Gives a tingling, cooling sensation and has a calming effect on the body. Peppermint Essential Oil improves focus, energy and concentration, relieves muscle aches and pain, improves breathing by fighting respiratory and sinus infections. It is also has antimicrobial and anti-viral properties.
Rose Essential Oil Very common oil in perfume and aromatics, it is perhaps the most widely used essential oil in perfumery. It is also credited with being an exotic aphrodisiac, an emollient in skin care and a balancer of the spirit. Rose Essential Oil destroys acne bacteria and opens your skin to absorb more nutrients.
Rosemary Essential Oil Its fragrant evergreen aroma helps to overcome mental fatigue by stimulating and strengthening the entire nervous system. It enhances mental clarity while aiding alertness and concentration. Known to protect the brain and reduce risk of dementia. It also has been shown to improve health of skin, hair, nails and naturally balance hormones.
Sandalwood Essential Oil Has a rich, sweet, woody, exotic and lingering aroma. It is luxurious and balsamic with a soft deep aroma. It is believed to create an exotic, sensual mood and has a reputation as an aphrodisiac, which may be why it has been used in the perfume industry and body care products for a very long time.
Spruce Essential Oil Is a bit sweeter smelling than the other Christmas Tree Essential Oil Line with calming grounding properties. Spruce is traditionally used to soothe muscle discomfort after exercise or in combination with massage. Native Americans used spruce for medicinal and spiritual reasons to connect with the Great Spirit during ceremonies. Spruce is used in many favorite oil blends like the popular Valor Essential Oil blend.
Sweet Orange Essential Oil With a sweet orange scent, it is a powerful citrus fruit oil that contains d-limonene, which has many benefits, including cleansing and anti-inflammatory benefits. It is a known aphrodisiac and has also been shown to improve mood, freshen odor and improve metabolic function.
Tansy Essential Oil The scent is similar to that of camphor with hints of rosemary. Recognized as a medicinal plant it is also known for its antihistaminic action. Tansy lowers levels of histamine and checks its further production, controlling allergic reaction. Also an anti-viral, antibacterial, and anti-fungal, it is an anti-inflammatory for the skin. This oil acts as a sedative for nerves and emotional impulses like anxiety, depression and anger, by inducing a relaxing effect on the nerves and brain.
Tea Tree Essential Oil With a fresh camphoraceous scent, it is well known as a very powerful immune stimulant and for its ability to treat wounds with its powerful antiseptic properties. Tea Tree Oil is used in vapor therapy, kills fungus and yeast, and is used for a variety of dermatologic conditions including dandruff, acne, lice, herpes, and other skin infections.
Vanilla Essential Oil Considered a premiere sensual aphrodisiac and one of the most popular aromas, it is comforting and relaxing and is also an ingredient in oriental type perfumes.
Ylang Ylang Essential Oil Along with its widespread use in perfumes and aromatherapy due to its very pleasing and delicate fragrance, it is used as an anti-depressant, antiseptic, and a sedative for relief from stress and anxiety. It is also an aphrodisiac that can increase sex drive while inducing a relaxed feeling.
